Gigabeat Plus is an outdoor very small 60GHz radio unit from Ubiquiti Networks for Point-to-Point application with real 1.5 Gbps Full Duplex throughput, very low latency, support for 2160 MHz channel width and allows create a connection up to 1.5 km. The unit has one Gigabit LAN port for communication with support for passive PoE (22 to 26 V DC) and Bluetooth for Quick Setup using the UISP mobile application. The installation of the connection is physically very simple – the device weighs only 1 kg and the included holder allows fine-tuning in both directions, which is a big plus in this price level.
The airMAX GigaBeam Plus comes with a pole-mounting kit for flexible placement options and can be powered using the included 24 VDC PoE adapter or by connecting it to a compliant network switch. Made from UV-resistant polycarbonate and stainless steel, this radio can be mounted onto a wall or a pole using the included kit. It is built with 24kV ESD/EMP protection and can withstand temperatures between -40 and 140°F in addition to wind speeds of up to 125 mph.
